{"id":721,"date":"2018-08-10T11:09:41","date_gmt":"2018-08-10T08:09:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/estgis.ee\/events-calendar\/asutamine\/"},"modified":"2018-08-10T13:50:54","modified_gmt":"2018-08-10T10:50:54","slug":"founding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/estgis.ee\/en\/events-calendar\/founding\/","title":{"rendered":"Founding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Estonian Geoinformatics Society (ESTGIS) was established on 30.09.2010.<\/p>\n<p>ESTGIS has 89 foundation members.<\/p>\n<p>Management Board was elected by the members for 2 years.<\/p>\n<p>ESTGIS is the NGO whose activity is regulated by the statutes of the society (<a href=\"https:\/\/estgis.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/ESTGIS-pohikiri-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">available in Estonian<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESTGIS activities are dedicated to the following fields:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>to rise the GI awareness in society and support the good reputation of the GIS field<\/li>\n<li>to support the development of the geoinformatics professional skills and education based on the labour market needs<\/li>\n<li>to support effective national and international co-operation and exchange of GIS\/GI expertise and experience<\/li>\n<li>to support and contribute to the development of framework documents of Estonian geoinformatics, spatial data and geo infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>to contribute to the GI\/GIS and related fields related development processes<\/li>\n<li>to rise the competitiveness of the field in the international level<\/li>\n<li>to protect the members common interests and rights<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Estonian Geoinformatics Society (ESTGIS) was established on 30.09.2010.
